About
Us

Membership
As
with any Amateur Theatre Group, The Revels Drama Group depends
upon a wide range of skills, and our thriving membership brings
these to backstage as well as on stage. Direction, set construction,
costumes, props, prompting, sound, lighting, front of house management
and stage management are all undertaken for each production as
well as the acting seen by the audience.
We
are always keen to hear from those who would like to participate
in any aspect of theatrical production. Membership costs only
£10 per annum. (Please see our Contact
Us page.)
We
also have an active Junior membership who are required for occasional
productions and led by our Junior Revels Co-ordinator. Membership
is only £3 for Juniors. (Please see our Contact
Us page.)
Productions
Each
year we stage three productions in Knowle Village Hall, normally
in January, May and October. The January production is a seasonal
one, catering for family audiences, usually, but not always, a
Pantomime.
Social
Activities
Not
all members participate in each production, so we arrange an active
social calandar to keep members involved and in touch. These include
play readings, quiz nights and theatre visits. Members are also
welcome to sit in on rehearsals.
Committee
Our
activities are directed by a Committee of 11 members, a working
group, each of whom is allocated responsibilities for specific
aspects of our affairs.
Charitable
Donations
As
a non-profit making group, we are able to make donations to various charities
from our proceeds.
